My Life on the Internet

(4 posts)
  1. I would very much appreciate any comments (yes, good or bad) about a training programme I have spent years creating and am just about to start marketing.

It was created out of the frustrations of trying to learn what being a virtual entrepreneur was about, and running an internet business from home, as I am mostly housebound. I have also spent loads of savings on the development itself, the video tutorials and all the materials for the program.

I am struggling getting the concept across to people, and all I want to do is try to get the point across that what took me 5/6 years to leanr/test/experience, etc, can be done in 6/9 months as all my knowledge and experience is in this program.

    You can find it here

  2. Its a great idea. Of course there is a lot of other people out there promoting stuff and I would ask

    1. who are you targeting
    2. what makes you different

You have a lot of information in the side bar which makes it distracting.

The advert you have at the top (the peel away) moves down the page as I scroll so it is impossible to actually read your front page and you are missing out on doing the number one priority of all webpreneurs - list building.

Its a great idea to promote and I wish you well with it. All you really have to do is tidy the front page and add your signup incentive to build your list and you may find that helps.

    Good luck

  3. Diane,
I have worked in the printing industry all of my working life and the one thing that comes over within the field of marketing is not to make anything too 'busy', although I am not an expert by any means in websites, but I believe the same adage applies.
If it is too busy, as I believe your website is, too much to read on one page, it tends to put people off getting to the end.
    I hope this helps

A great idea but there is so much information that it can be a bit confusing. When I started my website I had to constantly look at the homepage and try and keep it as simple as possible because all advice told me that was the way to go.
You are doing the right thing in joining and posting in forums.Keep doing that and try writing articles about your subject with reference to your site.Target these for magazines that attract your targeted market.
    Good luck
