Test caption page
It’s possible to put a heading box at the top of a category archive. The text is set up as a page. The klink is established with the control panel of the Category-Page plugin. Not sure if page appears in the page structure.

Another thing the same plugin may be able to do is display a list of posts from the category within a page - the reverse link.
