About
This site is aimed at people setting up or running their own businesses in UK, especially those aged over 50. So if you are thinking about becoming self-employed it’s for you. And if you are already an established “olderpreneur” then it’s also for you.
PRIME has helped many people realise their dreams through self-employment or starting a business and we know how much satisfaction and financial independence can be gained this way.
But we also recognise the enormous commitment required to make a success of it. This can severely limit opportunities to meet with other people for business or social contact, particularly if you are working on your own or in an isolated rural location.
So treat this site as a place where you can establish contact with existing and potential entrepreneurs, other sources of information and free advice - and even customers.
If you are interested in self-employment or setting up your own business you are also very welcome to contact PRIME direct on freephone number 0800 783 1904, or email prime@ace.org.uk
The creation of this site was part-funded by the Equal Diversity in Practice project, which is itself funded by the European Social Fund.
The Equal project also aims to encourage employers to recognise the benefits of employing a more diverse workforce - including hiring older people and retaining them in jobs.
